Gloria Blume was born in Lima, Peru, where she completed her primary and secondary education while studying classical dance. After graduating as a commercial secretary, she entered the banking world, but the violence Peru experienced in the 1980s led her to leave behind a promising career in search of new horizons in Europe. She settled in Spain, where she worked in the commercial departments of several multinational companies while exploring the geography, art, and people of this diverse country. However, after a few years she moved to the United States, once again leaving her career behind, this time to start a family. She lived in several southern states before settling in Florida, where she currently resides with her family. Having enjoyed writing from an early age, she decided to write Las Huellas de Helena, her first novel.
